Pub Weekly Again

Wow, just a few days after my first appearance ever in PW, today THE MAZE RUNNER is in the title of one of the featured articles! CLICK HERE to see it on the main page.

If it's not there by the time you look, here's the link to the actual article: CLICK HERE.

Don't get too excited. This doesn't mean anything. Yet. Keep those fingers crossed.

EDIT: By the way, the description of the book in the article has a couple of minor... misunderstandings. Mainly this: it's not set in an alternate reality. Maybe they confused it with my other books! :-) Of course, it is fiction, so in that way maybe it's an alternate reality. I don't know.

But Lost meets Pan's Labyrinth? I LOVE that!

Hey James,

Great article. Here's hoping for a movie. The story sounds AWESOME.

I'm coming to see you on Saturday for LTUE. I'm very unhappy that 13th reality "2" isn't out yet. Grr.

Nonetheless, I'm brining you, Jessica, and Julie Wright some chocolate.

Awesome job! I'm excited!

And pardon my ignorance, but what the heck is an ARC?

ARC stand for Advance Reading/Review Copy. It's also known as a galley. It's exactly what it says. It's an advance copy of the book (usually with a cheaperish paperback binding) that is sent out to reviewers and booksellers.

Sorry, I recognize that this is my third post, and I apologize if that is taboo (as it is on some blogs), but I just noticed in your other post that you said Saturday at 2 will be the first signing of Dark Infinity. If so, I am extremely less very unhappy. :)

numberone, talk to me at the conference and I'll give you my email address.

I have a signed copy of the new book! It was great meeting you. Even if I had to field my way though all of your adoring fans. You have quite a fan club.

Thanks, Kristi. It was fun to meet you. Now get submitting!

And thanks everybody for the congrats. I just hope it comes of something.

Hey, the "Maze Runner" reading was great to sit in on. It did motivate me to want to get a hold of a copy of it, and it also raised my interest in checking out the 13th Reality series.

Seriously--I need to read *a lot* more. Might as well start with Dashner love, right?

Thanks for sharing your unpublished stuff with us, at LTUE! :)

Those psychotic Eagle Mountain folks--were they the "super fans" in the front row during your Maze Runner reading, if I might ask? Those girls... were interesting, at least...

You still look insanely familiar, by the way... Maybe one day, I'll place the face, and then my mind will finally find inner peace.

Thanks again. :)

P.S. Don't worry--it's okay to choke up when reading your own material. Besides, that's what the monkey on your shoulder is for, right? To hand you tissues? ;)
